Ultraviolette absorber UV-1164 is een triazine-ultraviolette absorber. Het is lichtgeel poeder bij kamertemperatuur. Het heeft een zeer lage vluchtigheid en goede compatibiliteit met polymeren en andere additieven.

Ultraviolette absorber UV-1164 wordt gebruikt als lichtstabilisator, geschikt voor polyoxymethyleen, polyamide, polycarbonaat, polyethyleen, polyetheramine, ABS-hars en polymethylmethacrylaat, enz. Het is vooral geschikt voor nylon en technische kunststoffen. Aanbevolen dosering: polyethyleen 0,2-0,4%; polycarbonaat 0,15-0,3%; ABS-hars 0,3-0,5%.
