Dit product bindt elektrolyten voor sterke kationen en heeft een heldere tot lichtgele, stroperige vloeistof. Het product is oplosbaar in water, niet-ontvlambaar, veilig, niet-giftig, heeft een hoge cohesiekracht en een goede hydrolytische stabiliteit. Het is niet gevoelig voor pH-veranderingen en is bestand tegen chloor. Vriespunt: -5 °C, soortelijk gewicht: 1,06 g/cm³.

Producten uit de polyacrylaminehydrochloride-serie worden veel gebruikt en kunnen worden ingezet voor:
1) In de textielindustrie wordt het gebruikt als fixatiemiddel voor directe en reactieve kleurstoffen; als antistatisch middel; 2) Bij de oppervlaktebehandeling van metaal wordt het gebruikt als additief voor metaalbewerkingssmeermiddelen en als metaalchelerend chemisch middel;
3) Inktprinten, gebruikt als inkttoner, kleurecht en waterdicht;
4) Voor elektronische materialen, diverse reinigingsmiddelen en resistadditieven;
5) Waterbehandeling, die gebruikt kan worden voor de productie en het gebruik van nieuwe waterbehandelingsmiddelen;
6) Farmaceutische tussenproducten
