TCEP-hydrochloride, ook bekend als tris(2-carbonylethyl)fosfaathydrochloride, is het meest effectieve driewaardige fosfaatderivaat. Tris(2-carboxyethyl)fosfinehydrochloride is een kleurloze, geurloze en in water oplosbare, zwak reducerende stof met een oplosbaarheid tot 310 mg/ml.

Sollicitatie

Tris(2-carboxyethyl)fosfinehydrochloride is stabieler dan DTT bij massaspectrometrie-toepassingen; tris(2-carboxyethyl)fosfinehydrochloride kan ook worden gebruikt voor de selectieve reductie van disulfiden in water. Na alkalisering kan de wateroplosbare ligand gemakkelijk van de op ruthenium gebaseerde metathesecatalysator worden verwijderd door het ruwe reactieproduct met water te wassen.
