N-(2-Ethoxyphenyl)-N'-(4-ethylphenyl)-etheendiamine is een polaire stof met een lage vluchtigheid en goede thermische stabiliteit. Het verkleurt niet bij contact met metaalionen en is bijzonder effectief bij ultraviolet licht met een korte golflengte. Daarom wordt het vaak gebruikt als witmakend middel en stabilisator voor UV-uithardingssystemen.
