C16-18-alcohol wordt verkregen door verestering, hydrogenering en fractionering van natuurlijke olie als grondstof. Vetalcohol wordt gebruikt in cosmetica, kunststoffen, leer, textiel, synthetische detergenten en andere industrieën. Het is geschikt voor allerlei soorten cosmetica. Als matrix is het met name geschikt voor crèmes en lotions.
