2-Butoxyethylacetaat met CAS-nummer 112-07-2
Ethyleenglycolbutyletheracetaat is een glycoletherester-oplosmiddel met een hoog kookpunt en polyfunctionele groepen, dat gebruikt kan worden als stollingsmiddel voor latexverf. Het wordt veel gebruikt in kleurverven en emulsieverven. Diethyleenglycolbutyletheracetaat heeft een zeer hoog kookpunt. Het wordt voornamelijk gebruikt als oplosmiddel voor keramiek en drukinkten die bestand zijn tegen hoge temperaturen. Het kan ook gebruikt worden als oplosmiddel voor zeefdrukinkt en als oplosmiddel voor polystyreenverfglazuur; het kan tevens gebruikt worden als azeotroop voor de scheiding van alcoholen en ketonen.

2-Butoxyethylacetaat (EBA) wordt veel gebruikt in synthetische harsen, bindmiddelen, inkten, drukwerk, textieldruk en -verven, leerlooimiddelen en andere industrieën. Het kan ook worden gebruikt als stollingsmiddel voor latexverf. Het wordt veel gebruikt in coatings. Het is een veelgebruikt ingrediënt in hoogwaardige lakken zoals autolak, tv-lak, koelkastlak, vliegtuiglak, enz. Het kan worden gebruikt als inktolie en glazuurolie voor bakproducten, met name geschikt voor zeefdrukinkt, autolak, tv-lak, koelkastlak en hoogwaardige lakken zoals vliegtuiglak.
